Sunday's full moon kicks off a "supermoon trilogy" of extra big and bright full moons
A "supermoon" will illuminate the night sky on Sunday, December 3, when the moon will appear about 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than other full moons. It is the first of three supermoons in a trilogy that will continue in January.
