AIDS stigma continues to haunt South Africa

When the HIV infection rate skyrocketed in South Africa in the 1990s, former President Nelson Mandela ignored calls to lead a prevention campaign that could have stemmed the onslaught. While Mandela later apologized, some South Africans still refuse to acknowledge the disease. Allen Pizzey reports.
