Woman gives birth after receiving uterus transplant from a dead donor
One in 5,000 women cannot have children because of a uterine problem. To help those women give birth, surgeons must typically perform extremely complex procedures to transplant a uterus from one living woman to another. But for the first time in North America, a woman gave birth after receiving a uterus transplant from a deceased donor.
