Why are Trump's recent pardons, commutations unusual?

President Trump issued more than two dozen pardons and commutations this week, adding to his already lengthy list granted during his second term. The clemencies include former Republican congressman Michael Grimm, reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley and former Virginia sheriff Scott Jenkins.
