Dozens of children fighting cancer lost a vital safety net, after the accidental destruction of their frozen stem cells at California hospital. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles said a freezer storing the blood stem cells malfunctioned earlier this month. The cells of 56 pediatric cancer patients were lost.
