Virginia Democrat apologizes for texts as Young Republicans group chat sparks controversy

Jay Jones, the Democratic candidate for Virginia attorney general, has apologized for comments sent through text, saying that a GOP lawmaker should be shot and killed. Meanwhile, earlier this week, it was reported by Politico that a trove of "racist, antisemitic and violent" messages were allegedly exchanged by leaders of the Young Republicans, a national political advocacy group.
