"Boyz N the Hood" director John Singleton dead at 51
John Singleton, the Oscar-nominated director of "Boyz N the Hood," has died at age 51. He had suffered from a stroke last week. He is the first African American director to be nominated for an Oscar and the youngest director nominee ever.
