Hegseth says "DEI is dead" at Defense Department as he works on restoring "warrior ethos"

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is testifying before the Senate Appropriations subcommittee in Washington, D.C. Hegseth said he's working on restoring the "warrior ethos" in his department as he works to implement President Trump's priorities. Hegseth said diversity, equity and inclusion efforts are dead in the military and praised raised funding that he says will benefit soldiers and their families.
