Polar vortex, heavy snow hits Midwest, heads toward East Coast
A dangerous blast of Arctic air is blowing into the central U.S. tonight -- the coldest in a generation. It comes on the heels of a snowstorm that caused accidents across the Midwest. Over the next 48 hours, temperatures in some areas will drop to record-breaking lows. CBS News correspondent Dean Reynolds reports from the Chicago area.
