Controversial cleric Ebrahim Raisi set to become Iran’s new president
Amid record-low voter turnout, Iran elected its newest president, Ebrahim Raisi. A controversial figure in Iran politics, Raisi is currently under sanction by the U.S. for alleged human rights abuses, including his role in the lethal crackdown on protesters in 2009. Elizabeth Palmer reports.
