Afghanistan hunger crisis is "pure catastrophe" amid Taliban rule, U.N. says

The United Nations says Afghanistan's hunger crisis is the world's worst humanitarian disaster. About 25 million Afghans are living in poverty and the rising cost of food has raised concerns that the coming winter could be a death sentence for many children.
