Afghan interpreters hope for a new, safer life when U.S. troops leave

President Biden has acknowledged the critical role played by thousands of interpreters, drivers and others who work closely with American forces in Afghanistan, by allowing them to come to the U.S. ahead of the final troop withdrawal, in an effort to keep them safe while they apply for entry to the United States.
