Newly released letter suggests Catholic Church new about allegations against cardinal in 2006

A newly-released letter from a top Vatican official suggests the Catholic Church knew about sexual abuse allegations against Cardinal Theodore McCarrick as far back as 2000. McCarrick resigned in June after an investigation found allegations of sexual misconduct against him to be credible.
