Wylie ISD investigates after outside group hands out Islamic materials on campus

A viral video from Wylie East High School shows the president of the school’s Republican Club claiming an outside Islamic group set up a table on campus, handing out Qurans, pamphlets, and hijabs during lunch. The event had been promoted by the school’s Muslim Student Association as part of “World Hijab Day,” but Wylie ISD now says the district mistakenly allowed four outside representatives onto campus without proper approval.
