A year‑long renovation at the Will Rogers Memorial Center includes the restoration of its massive 15‑by‑11‑foot portrait of Will Rogers. Commissioned in 1947 and unveiled alongside the “Into the Sunset” sculpture, the painting had accumulated decades of wear and rodeo dust. Conservators stepped in as part of the broader concourse renovation to preserve the artwork for future generations.
