Texas Senate revives bill to replace STAAR test

While work in the Texas House has stalled due to the ongoing quorum break, the Texas Senate is moving forward with Senate Bill 8, which proposes eliminating the STAAR test. The bill would replace it with three shorter assessments spread throughout the school year.
