Scorecard to rate World Cup host cities on community impact and readiness
A new scorecard will soon measure how prepared FIFA World Cup host cities are, evaluating how well they balance tournament operations with community needs. Local groups and residents will submit rankings based on 20 FIFA‑approved indicators, including worker protections and anti‑discrimination standards. Dallas and Houston are among the 16 host cities participating in the assessment ahead of this summer’s tournament.
