Protecting your pets in extreme heat
Heat stroke in dogs can quickly turn deadly because animals can't easily regulate their body temperature. To help prevent this, consider taking your pet out during the cooler hours of the day, and do a hand test on the pavement to make sure it's not too hot on their paws.
