Opal Lee leads Juneteenth Walk as celebrations begin nationwide
Americans will mark Juneteenth on Friday, with celebrations stretching into the weekend, and Opal Lee — the “Grandmother of Juneteenth” — will kick off her annual Walk for Freedom at 9 a.m. at Will Rogers Square.
