North Texas pastor returns months after self‑deporting over visa delays
A North Texas pastor who was forced to leave the country last fall because of visa delays has returned to the United States and reunited with his church in Gordon. He and his family were welcomed back by members of First Baptist Church of Gordon after a recent policy change allowed them to reenter. He had self‑deported in November when his religious‑worker authorization was set to expire amid a federal visa backlog.
