“I saw her, and I thought, ‘I’m the very first person that got to meet you,’” Dr. Jamie Erwin, who delivered Jamila in January of 2024 at the Fort Worth Zoo. She and members of the birth team got the opportunity to reunite with now 2-year-old Jamila at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
