New rule raises salary threshold for overtime pay

The Biden administration announced a new role, raising the salary threshold required to exempt salaried employees from overtime pay requirements. Starting in July, the threshold will increase to the equivalent of an annual salary of just under $44,000 a year. Right now it is at $35,000.
