Jury convicts Timothy Simpkins of attempted murder in school shooting
A jury has convicted 19-year-old Timothy Simpkins of attempted capital murder for the 2021 shooting at Timberview High School. The jury was released from the courtroom to deliberate around 9:15 a.m. Thursday. They returned the verdict just after 6 p.m. The judge said the punishment phase of the trial will continue Friday morning.
