Judge replaced in Karmelo Anthony case as retrial bid advances
A Collin County judge who oversaw Karmelo Anthony’s murder conviction was removed from the case Tuesday as the defense seeks a retrial. A retired Kaufman County judge has been assigned and is expected to preside over a hearing on Wednesday, when Anthony’s attorneys and supporters hope to argue for a new trial.
