Honoring a Legacy: North Texas breakfast celebrates civil rights leaders
A North Texas nonprofit hosted a heartfelt breakfast honoring local civil rights leaders. Although “Grandmother of Juneteenth” Opal Lee couldn’t attend due to health concerns, she played a key role in organizing the event. Organizers highlighted the importance of such gatherings in preserving civil rights legacies and strengthening community unity.
