Gov. Abbott adds flood warning systems and redrawing Texas Congressional districts to special sessio
Texas lawmakers will convene in a special session starting July 21 to address the recent Hill Country flooding. Alongside disaster response, the Legislature will also consider a range of politically charged issues, including eliminating the STAAR test, regulating hemp-derived products, cutting property taxes, and banning taxpayer-funded lobbying.
