Driver rescued after car plunges 30 feet into Plano creek during morning rain
Plano Fire-Rescue says a driver lost control on rain‑slicked roads near Independence Parkway and Plano Parkway early Saturday, sending their vehicle about 30 feet down into a creek bed. Photos show the car heavily damaged, but crews were able to pull the driver out safely, and no injuries were reported. To the east, storms intensified into heavy hail in parts of Tyler.
