Celebrating Día de Los Muertos

November 1 is Día de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. The Mexican holiday honors deceased loved ones with brightly colored skeletons and skulls, which are called Calaveras, to show that death is not scary. The holiday is about remembering that death is part of the human experience and an opportunity to be reunited with loved ones who have passed away.
