Canton officer released from hospital after deadly shooting
A Canton police officer has been released from the hospital after being wounded in a Tuesday shooting that killed a Van Zandt County deputy. Authorities say a 42-year-old man fired more than 800 rounds from a semiautomatic rifle during the attack.
