CAIR sues Gov. Abbott over Texas land ban, terrorist designation
The Council on American‑Islamic Relations (CAIR) has filed a federal lawsuit against Governor Greg Abbott after his proclamation this week banned the group from owning land in Texas and labeled it a terrorist organization. CAIR leaders, joined by other Texas Muslim organizations, denounced the move as defamatory and an attack on civil rights, vowing not to be intimidated.
