American Airlines pilot recalls 9/11 from the cockpit
An American Airlines pilot was flying a routine trip from Minneapolis to DFW on Sept. 11, 2001, when air traffic controllers began redirecting flights. She said the confusion turned to heartbreak as she realized two close friends would never return.
