Texas is dropping immediate efforts to block the arrival of Syrian refugees who are scheduled to resettle in the state next week. Both the ACLU and President Obama said that the state had no authority to stop the refugees from coming.
In the last five years, Texas has taken in more refugees than any other state, including 243 from Syria, according to the U.S. State Department. Two more families from Syria arrive in Dallas in the next 10 days.
