As COVID-19 vaccine distribution ramps up across North Texas, some people who fall under the 1A phase are ready for their second dose.
There is a cumulative total of 208,991 confirmed cases (PCR test) in Dallas County since the pandemic began.
Dallas County on Sunday reported 1,377 new COVID-19 cases, along with 13 more deaths.
"He is definitely not the only person in our county that has this," said DCHHS Director Dr. Philip Huang. "We are thinking it's probably here, and this is just our first official confirmation of that."
Dallas County on Saturday reported 2,809 new COVID-19 cases, along with five more deaths.
The Dallas County Health and Human Services department said a Dallas man in his 20s got COVID-19 that was caused by the variant known as SARS-CoV-2 variant B.1.1.7.
The opportunity to get a vaccine without at appointment at the county's mega vaccination location drew thousands over the past two days.
Dallas County on Friday reported 2,817 cases of COVID-19, along with 24 more deaths.
"We continue to remain very concerned about the impact COVID is having on our hospital systems and healthcare heroes," said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
Dallas County Health and Human Services reported 2,994 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Dallas County on Wednesday, along with 21 more deaths.
"We had a lot of people in North Dallas who were not contacted by us but had been had it forwarded to them and had found a way to get an appointment," said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
Dallas County Health and Human Services reported 3,549 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Dallas County on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

Dallas County on Saturday reported a daily record-high of 3,194 new cases of COVID-19, along with 10 more deaths.
"These numbers and deaths are a somber reminder that COVID is at all-time highs and can cause serious illness, and potentially fatal illness, for people of all ages," said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
A driver was arrested after a nearly hour-long standoff with police and SWAT on Interstate-20 in southern Dallas County Friday morning.
The goal is to start administering shots to hundreds of residents on Monday, as long as Dallas County Health and Human Services receives its next shipment from the state in time.
Among the 20 newly-reported COVID-19 deaths was a Dallas man in his 30s who did not have underlying high-risk health conditions.

"With the high spread we're seeing in the community, January and February will be our worst months for both hospitalizations and new COVID cases," said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
"We as individuals control these numbers and our actions drive them up or down. Please follow the recommendations to limit all non-essential activity," said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
"Across Texas Health Resources in North Texas we now have over a thousand positive patients in beds, and another several hundred that are people that are under investigation," said CEO of Texas Health Resources Barclay Berdan.
"January and February will likely be our highest months for hospitalizations and new cases," said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
