WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) -- The Winnipeg Jets returned home with a flourish and gave their playoff push a boost. Andrew Ladd scored twice to help the Jets beat Dallas 5-2 Wednesday night, snapping the Stars' six-game winning streak.
The Stars go for their longest winning streak in over four years by trying to continue their dominance of the Winnipeg Jets franchise in their only meeting of the season Wednesday night.
Jamie Benn's goal early in the third period and Kari Lehtonen's second consecutive shutout gave the Dallas Stars their sixth straight victory, 1-0 over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old Benn, who was recalled Monday, had one assist in his two games for Dallas this season.
