Today is an Ozone Action Day. Try to limit your use of your car and help reduce tailpipe emissions:

We are watching storms developing over Oklahoma this morning. The upper-level flow is out of the north, this will push any storm activity into north Texas today. The best chances are in our western counties:

   

Highs today will be kept out triple-digit thanks to an east wind and some clouds streaming in from the north:

For your weekend: typical August temperatures are expected with slightly lower humidity. The rain chances for both days are rather small and outside of the metro area:

 

Here is the extended forecast. Better rain chances might start returning by mid-week as the general weather pattern shifts. We could use the rain. We are currently in the longest dry spell at DFW in the last 15 years!
