Warmer....Until Next Weekend

The first freeze of the season gripped most of north Texas this morning. Inside the urban core along with our counties in our southeast were the only areas saved from the freeze.

Another cold night is in store for north Texas tonight. This time the freeze line will get further south. A Freeze Warning is in effect for the last of our counties that missed one this morning:

In between these cold nights a nice afternoon. High pressure over us this morning moves to the east later today allowing for a modest south wind. Teamed with the sunshine this should warm us up nicely into the mid-50's:

Thanksgiving weekend  is approaching the weather is looking dicey. We expect light rain late Tuesday and Wednesday but thunderstorms could be part of our Turkey Day.

The rain could be rather heavy, especially on Thursday night and early Friday:

A cold front comes in on Friday and temperatures will drop. Like yesterday, the high will be in the morning on Black Friday then dropping that afternoon into the 40's. The high on Saturday and Sunday will likely stay in the 40's as well.
