DALLAS (CBS11 SPORTS) - The "Carter High" movie hits theaters in DFW this weekend and, at the premiere, we had a chance to speak with one of the stars of the movie, Vivica A. Fox, at a red carpet event in Dallas.

Fox says the movie is a must watch for people of all backgrounds and all ages. She calls it a family movie.

The movie captures the rise and fall of the 1988 Carter High football team that won the state title, with six to seven players going on to play in the NFL -- only to have eight players from that team never see their professional football dreams come true after being arrested for armed robbery.

Fox says to shoot the movie in Dallas and have it premiere in Dallas is the ultimate blessing, and to work with executive producer and former Cowboys defensive tackle Greg Ellis was an awesome experience.

"Carter High" hits theaters nationwide November 13.
