CEDAR HILL (CBSDFW.COM) – Numerous customers of Corbin's TV in Cedar Hill are complaining of not receiving repairs they paid for upfront.
At least 42 people have filed complaints to the Better Business Bureau about the repair shop.
Plano resident Jack Landers is one of them. He dropped off his 56 inch flat screen TV in June of 2015 and still hasn't gotten it back or a refund for the $500 he spent.
"I believe that I will probably never see that TV or my money back," said Landers.
Corbin's TV owner, Greg Corbin admitted that problems getting parts from overseas has frustrated his customers. But said he offered to return Lander's TV and even tried to call him while CBS11 crews were interviewing him.
"What we typically do is pay once bills once a month so I told him 'I guess it's Tuesday, we will get you your money back and I'll get your TV too,' " said Corbin.
The Better Business Bureau gave Corbin's an F grade because of the complaints from people wanting their TVs back and people complaining they were delivered the wrong TV.
Several people complained to the BBB they waited months before they received their television back.
Landers said he has even taken off from work to pick up his TV and was told he wouldn't be able to pick it up.
"This is one excuse after another," said Landers.
Corbin said his shop repairs 50 TVs a week, so 42 complaints during four years isn't unusual.
But the Better Business Bureau said it is unusual. Ten of the complaints remain unresolved and 11 are unanswered, according to the BBB.
