Thunderstorms In Dallas County & 100 Degrees!
THIS EVENING…
Isolated showers and thunderstorms are moving thru parts of Dallas County this afternoon. This spotty showers and storms will continue thru sundown. Likely not severe, but some may contain some small hail and gusty winds. One or two could pulse up to severe limits with winds and hail the main threats. But mainly these will produce heavy rain and lightning. Again the showers and storms will dissipate an hour or two after the sun goes down. Coverage will be low less than 20% coverage.
TOMORROW…
A similar day tomorrow as to what we have seen today. Clouds in the morning and maybe even a stray shower or sprinkle. Then partly cloudy with pop up showers and thunderstorms from the midday thru the evening. The rain chances will shift a little west so in the Fort Worth area there will be the chance of seeing a passing shower or thunderstorm tomorrow.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY…
Dry weather with temperatures in the mid 90s.
HEATING UP FOR THE WEEKEND AND NEXT WEEK…
Saturday and Sunday will be hot and muggy with highs in the upper 90s. Early next week temperatures ware still expected to reach 100 degrees. One of our forecast models (the European) is really cranking up the heat with high temperatures around 105 for several days during the middle of next week. The other model the GFS is not quite as aggressive but still pretty hot with highs between 97 and 102. Regardless, get ready for the heat!
