The 5 'Coldest' Names In Sports
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- North Texas received record amounts of snow on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing life to a grinding halt.
While the Rangers enjoy the sunshine of Surprise, Arizona, we're stuck here -- in the snow.
In honor of the winter weather, we've come up with the 5 "Coldest" names in sports.
1. Stone Cold Steve Austin
Stone Cold is arguably the biggest star to ever compete in the WWE. He's also got one of the most
recognizable names in all of sports.
2. JT Snow
JT never made an All Star Game and was a career .268 hitter. But his name -- the absolute epitome of winter weather.
(It's probably relevant to note that Snow did earn six Gold Gloves)
3. George "Iceman" Gervin
The 9-time NBA All Star made the NBA's 50th Anniversary Team and was inducted into the Naismith
Memorial Hall of Fame.
He earned the nickname "Iceman" for his cool demeanor on the court.
4. David Freese
Uttering his name in North Texas is a sin.
The Rangers, leading the 2011 World Series 3 to 2, were one out away from a title. Freese stepped to
the plate and hit a two-run double as St. Louis rallied to win the series.
Now Freese plays for the Angels.
5. Chili Davis
Any conversation that includes Chili Davis is a good one.
Chili became the first ballplayer born in Jamaica to appear in a game in 1991. Though Jamaica doesn't bring shivers to the mind, his first name does.
