Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Captured In Rockwall
ROCKWALL (CBSDFW.COM) - A member of the Aryan Brotherhood and a 10 Most Wanted Fugitive has been captured in North Texas.
U.S. Marshals, Texas State Troopers and oficers from several North Texas police agencies took Andrew Michael McArter into custody in Rockwall County.
According to officials, McArter is confirmed gang member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas. The 29-year-old was wanted for Parole Violation and Larceny.
Authorities surrounded and captured McArter as he rode in a pickup pulling up to a Rockwall house he had been staying in. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The driver of the pickup was not arrested.
After a search of the home, police later said McArter was "in possession of methamphetamine in his bedroom." Rockwall police are planning to file an additional drug charge against him for that violation.
Authorities got a led on McArter's whereabouts less than 24 hours after adding him to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive List.
McArter has long criminal history, including charges and/or convictions for Possessing/Transporting Anhydrous Ammonia, Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
In 2000, McArter was also linked to more than a dozen burglaries. He was arrested and convicted of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
McArter remains in the Rockwall County Jail.
