ARLINGTON, TX (CBSDFW.COM) -- Crews in Arlington were working to cap a major water main break Thursday morning. In a statement released Thursday morning, the city says that it had a 'series' of breaks that will require repair.

One break happened just after 9a.m. this morning near the corner of Pleasant Ridge Rd. and Little Rd. Officials said that break involves a 42-inch line.

No evacuations were reported in the area, but Arlington police told CBSDFW that several streets had been barricaded in the area because of flooding.

The city said several streets will be closed to conduct repairs. "Infrastructure recovery efforts will result in ongoing changes in the road closures throughout the day as the City gets to each of these water main breaks," said city officials.

Officials said the following roads would be affected at some point Thursday:

  • Pleasant Ridge at Pleasant Oaks in the 5300 block of Pleasant Ridge
  • Pleasant Ridge at Sangre Trail (from Sangre to Little Road)
  • Waterview just east of West Green Oaks Blvd
  • Tennessee at Sublett Rd
  • Mintwood Place at Ann Drive
  • Pleasant Oak at Pleasant Ridge
