Storms Gone for Weekend
The rain that moved over Anderson County last night and through the overnight hours caused five fatalities including four children in Palestine. Observation reports around the city included one of 7.78" of rain.
We started Saturday with cloudy skies, brisk northwest winds and occasional light rain. By afternoon it'll be much better as a cold front continues to push east:
Tomorrow we'll start with low humidity and clear skies; it'll be in the 50's in the morning but warm nicely into the upper 70's.
Clouds return by end of day; by overnight rain returns as well. We are not expecting severe weather or rain that could produce flooding. The rain chances continue into Monday
