Steady Rain then Big (Cold) Winds

The rain set in by afternoon across most of north Texas. Amounts were modest by 5pm, mostly hovering around .25" or so according to our CBS11 Weather Watcher Reports:

We'll likely end up with 1/2" to 1" of rain in many areas, a nice soaking in a time of drought:

The rain will be around all night and into tomorrow morning. It won't be as steady and wide-spread in the morning and start to break west to east quickly as the morning passes. A cold front sweeps through and clears out the rain. The high tomorrow will be in the upper 50's in the mid-morning or so, then drop on a cold wind by afternoon into the 40's:

We expect the coldest morning since the first week of January as we start the work week, it'll be below freezing all across north Texas:

It'll be a cold winter day on Monday with some sunshine but a strong south wind on Tuesday gets us warmer. Another cold front on Thursday and a slight rain chance in the morning but it warms up again by next weekend:
