Small Storm Chances

Get out and enjoy the fireworks tonight. The only storm chance is along the Red River and well northeast of the Metroplex:

July and August is the driest run of weather typically here in north Texas. Even in the wake of a historically wet Spring (2nd wettest in history) we are seeing small storm chances ahead in the 2nd week of July:

For the last day of the holiday weekend the storm chances are very small for the metro area. The best chances will be in the northeast corner where the storm chances have been highest for days now:

The storms chances return on Tuesday and Wednesday, this time the favored areas will be northwest of the metro:

Considering that this is our 100-degree weather season (with none recorded so far this year) the daytime highs don't look so bad in the work week ahead. It'll continue to be very muggy. The hottest weather of the year looks to be right around the corner, very hot days are in store for us for next weekend:
