Severe Weather Update
Most of north Texas is under a Tornado Watch until midnight:
Two cells remain from the dryline storms that started up earlier this afternoon. These are well to the southwest of the metroplex over Erath and Mills counties. Both cells have produced severe weather in the form of golf-ball-sized hail and frequent lighting. There have been reports also of brief wall clouds.
Over the next two hours the threat in this area continues as the cells move east at 25-30 mph.
We are watching a line of storms in Oklahoma ahead of the approaching cold front:
This line of storms will push across the northern tier and produce a threat of severe weather. Large hail and damaging winds will be the bigger threats though we can't rule out an isolated tornado:
