Severe Threat Increases

Yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far at DFW, it hit 92°. On top of that, the dew points stayed in the upper 60's all day making for sticky weather.

It'll be no different today. Hot, humid and breezy.

The dry line will creep a little closer to our west than yesterday. This will threaten our western counties with severe weather (including isolated tornadoes). As we get into the evening these storms could move into the urban area.

Monday the storms will develop even closer to the metroplex, the severe weather threat is higher including, again, the threat of isolated tornadoes. The threat will continue into the evening.

The best chance for storms is on Tuesday when a cold front plows into the warm and moist air over north Texas in the heat of the day. Again, there is a threat of severe weather including isolated tornadoes.

Saturday was the hottest day of the year so far. It'll be the third day in a row of 90° highs in the metro; these are also the FIRST 90° days of the year. We've jumped right to HOT weather. It'll be humid and windy:

Not much in storm chances for a couple of days after the front comes through on Tuesday. It'll be a little less humid and a just a little cooler to end the work week. A little.
