LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - A fight between a couple ends with a man shooting himself inside a Lewisville Mall.

The incident happened just after 4:00 p.m. Monday at the Vista Ridge Mall off I-35E and MacArthur Blvd.

Lewisville Police spokesman Capt. Kevin Deaver said the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute with an employee of one of the stores.

Police say the 25-year-old man was being escorted out of the mall by security officers when he pulled a gun out of his clothing and shot himself.

The man's gun had been concealed inside his clothes.  At no point did he pull out the gun or threaten to shoot any of the security guards.

No one else inside the mall was shot, and the most of the stores in the mall remained open Monday night.  The shooting took place near a courtyard in the center of the mall.

The man's name will not be released until next of kin are notified.

Lewisville Police are still investigating the case.
