Plano Attorney Leach Wins GOP State House Nod
PLANO (AP) - Plano attorney Jeff Leach has defeated Jon Cole for the Republican nomination in state House District 67.
Leach and Cole were vying for a seat left open when 19-year incumbent Jerry Madden chose not to run for re-election. Madden defeated Cole in 2008 and endorsed Leach in this year's primary and runoff.
The district is considered solidly Republican. Leach does not face a Democratic opponent in the November general election.
