One More Cold Night Then Back to Warmth

This has certainly been a chilly Tuesday, with a brisk north wind this morning and low clouds.  The clouds have lingered along the I-35W corridor, but are on their way out completely of North Texas.  The wind has died down too, which will allow temps to fall into the 30s by Wednesday morning.

South winds and sunshine mean a milder Wednesday afternoon.  And then it will be downright warm again by the end of the week and weekend.  No cold fronts expected for the next 5-7 days!

If you're searching for an upper level storm system that will bring us rain, you have to look in the Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Alaska.  There are several low pressure centers spinning around there, but have shown little signs of progressing eastward into the U.S.  That appears to be changing by next week, as we study the latest computer models.  A piece of the Gulf of Alaska storm will bring us a chance of rain by the middle of next week.  Stay tuned!
